Resource for Year 6 Parents: Transition to Secondary School
I am writing to introduce myself and to share with you my new e-book, full of practical tips and advice to help parents and Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. This can be a daunting time for families, and my aim is to offer guidance and reassurance based on my professional experience.
I have attached a short letter to parents, which highlights the importance of a smooth transition and explains how they can access my e-book.
If you have any questions or would like further information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Free English and Maths Tuition
We are a charity that runs free after school English and Maths tuition classes, and we will be running a programme in Perry Vale in partnership with L&Q. Given the location of your school, a lot of your pupils will be eligible for the tuition so we wanted to see if it would be possible to advertise the programme directly to the families.
To give you a little more context, at Tutors United we train and hire university students to provide free English and Maths tuition to pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6. Our tuition is developed by qualified teachers and supports the National Curriculum and runs from 4 – 6pm so it does not interfere with the school day and our programme is fully funded, so it is completely free for families.
