JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience of working in a school environment.
- Experience of working with, and supporting parents
- Liaison with external agencies and community providers
- Experience of working within a senior leadership team
- Good IT Skills
- Experience of being in a similar role.
- Good communication and numeracy skills
- Time management.
- Pride in their work and understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment for children
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:
- Demonstrate previous experience working with parents, pupils and other agencies. Demonstrate knowledge of attendance administration and pupils welfare
- Demonstrate knowledge of monitoring and managing pupils’ behavioural issues.
- Experience of development, management and operation of administrative systems Demonstrate good communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, governors, pupils, parents, and outside users of the school.

School Business Manager
SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER
Salary: Approximately (£42,861 to £50,646) (NJC Grade PO1-PO4)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time All Year Round (52 weeks)

Adamsrill Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational School Business Manager who is forward-thinking, passionate, and committed to building on the impressive achievements of our school. This role is a unique opportunity to drive further improvements while managing the school’s finance, administration, HR, premises, and health and safety.
This is a permanent role, offering variety, challenge, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a school that values collaboration, innovation, and excellence. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and lead a supportive team of 5–8 support staff.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes:
- Strategic leadership in finance, HR, administration, premises management, and health and safety.
- Leading and inspiring a team to deliver high-quality support services across the school.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing the school’s day-to-day operational functions while supporting its strategic direction.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Extensive leadership, financial, and HR experience, including managing premises, health and safety, administration, and facilities.
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- A recognised qualification in finance, HR, or school business management, or a willingness to work towards one (e.g., Advanced Diploma of School Business Management (ADSBM) or equivalent). A finance or HR qualification would be advantageous.
- The ability to operate strategically, inspire and motivate others, and demonstrate flexibility and teamwork, aligned with the school’s values and mission.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders and service providers.
- A proven track record of delivering positive change and demonstrating significant success in previous roles.
