Adamsrill is transitioning from a three-form entry to a two-form entry primary school.

We take in up to 60 children in our reception year group, 30 children in each class.

The Nursery can offer part-time places to 25 children in the morning and 25 children in the afternoon. From September 2020, this will be 16 full-time places and 18 part-time places (depending on demand, this can be reviewed).

Nursery admissions are managed by the school.

Please download a Nursery application form here:

How to apply for 30 hours funding:

Most children, after attending the Nursery, are offered places in one of our two Reception classes. There are 60 places in the Reception classes and a small number of children who have not been through our Nursery are admitted.

It should be noted that an offer of a Nursery place does not guarantee an offer of a place in a Reception class. You must apply again for admission into the Reception classes. Places are allocated by Lewisham Education Admissions Team, you can find more information on the Lewisham website.

Our Reception and Nursery September intake is staggered, and all children benefit from a home visit before starting.

All Reception classes are staffed by a qualified teacher and a qualified Nursery Nurse.

Admission Criteria for children aged 5 and over Priority is given to:

  • looked after children
  • brothers and sisters of children already in the school
  • children who live closest to the school
  • children experiencing acute social difficulties and pressures

If you have any questions regarding Reception placements, please do not hesitate to contact us and arrange a tour of the school. You can phone us on 020 8699 8548 or email
